First National Bank of River Falls:
Rooted in Community, Focused on the Futuret Here

For more than 120 years, First National Bank of River Falls (FNBRF) has been a trusted community partner—helping families, businesses, and neighborhoods thrive across western Wisconsin. With locations in River Falls and Prescott, the bank continues to embody integrity, service, and connection, proving that success is measured not just in financial strength, but in community impact.

Ground-breaking subscription-based healthcare

Cascade Primary Care is a ground-breaking subscription-based healthcare model designed to bring accessible, affordable and personalized medicine to the local communities. Cascade Primary Care is a locally owned Direct Primary Care clinic based in River Falls, WI. With a patient-first philosophy, Dr. Miller strives to offer primary care that is affordable, accessible and personalized medicine – outside of the constraints of traditional insurance billing.

A Legacy of Family and Strength

For generations, First National Bank of River Falls has remained family owned and operated, proudly upholding the values that have guided it since day one. This personal approach to banking has created lasting relationships and a culture where customers are treated like family, not account numbers.

The year 2024 was another successful one for FNBRF, marked by steady growth and continued profitability. The bank’s tradition of responsible management ensures it remains strong and secure—able to serve customers today and for generations to come. Through every change in the financial landscape, FNBRF’s commitment to stability, personal service, and community remains unwavering.

Deep Commitment to Community

FNBRF is proud to be a leading supporter of nonprofits in the River Falls and Prescott areas through both volunteerism and charitable giving. In 2024, employees contributed 2,985 hours of service, and financial donations benefited over 100 local organizations.

For more than a decade, FNBRF has been honored to support the Free Clinic of Pierce & St. Croix Counties and the incredible volunteers who bring its mission to life. These selfless individuals—some have been FNBRF employees—devote their time and expertise to ensure that neighbors without access to traditional health care receive compassionate, quality care and preventative education. “The volunteers at the Free Clinic truly represent the best of our community,” said Jeff Johnson, Board Chair/President & CEO of First National Bank of River Falls. “Their compassion, dedication, and commitment to helping others inspire us all, and we’re proud to support their efforts year after year.”

Philanthropy and Education

In 2024, FNBRF once again proved that community giving is more than a donation—it’s action. From raising over $16,000 and providing 400 pairs of shoes to local kids through its annual “Shoe Some Love” 5K run and walk, to collecting nearly 3,000 pounds of food and personal care items during Shred to Fed Day and the annual supply drive, employees consistently showed up for their neighbors. The bank also empowered nearly 1,000 students and community members through its Financial Literacy Program, earning the Excellence in Financial Education Award for the sixth consecutive year.

Service with Heart

As banking evolves, FNBRF continues to enhance their digital services while strengthening fraud prevention and education—empowering customers to bank safely anytime, anywhere.

A Legacy of Trust

At its heart, First National Bank of River Falls is powered by people—those who serve, give, and grow together. With unwavering stability, family leadership, and a deep passion for community, FNBRF continues to live its mission: building a better community, one relationship at a time.

What is Direct Primary Care? DPC is a physician-patient relationship model where patients pay a low monthly membership fee to their physician for comprehensive primary care services. This fee grants unlimited office visits and same or next-day appointments. It also offers no co-pays or surprise billing - no insurance claims for primary care. By decreasing bureaucracy, the membership can offer lower cost labs and imaging tests.

Dr Miller of Cascade Primary Care brings over 25 years of family medicine experience to local residents. Dr. Miller is able to put his patients first and spend more time with them, be proactive in their healthcare and truly work with them one-on-one. People often mention that the wait time to see or even talk to a doctor is too long, also expensive, and that’s where Direct Primary Care is different. Patients get direct access to address concerns. Whether it is something simple like an ear infection or something more complex like diabetes care, they can reach out to him to work on a solution.

The focus of Cascade Primary Care is having a proactive wellness approach. From chronic condition management to health planning to wellness checks. Cascade Primary Care offers same or next-day appointments and unlimited follow-ups including phone calls, texts, emails and video. The clinic is also a great resource for small businesses as many small businesses feel health care is unaffordable. Providing a membership to employees can be a great health benefit to retain employees and get them into the physician to prevent a delay in diagnosis. This model is also a great resource for underinsured (high-deductible) people as the costs are known and transparent ahead of time as well as those feeling left out by the current healthcare system. Cascade Primary Care invites patients to learn more about membership options and a free meet and greet consultation. You can visit the website at www.cascadeprimarycare.com.
