New Leadership Takes Over as Founders Step Down from Free Clinic of Pierce & St. Croix Counties

Pierce and St. Croix Counties, WI — After 17 years of dedicated service, the Free Clinic’s founding partners, Dr. Bob Johnson and Mary Conroy-Johnson are stepping back [but not away] from their leadership roles and passing the torch to committed and qualified leader volunteers.

The new leadership team includes Chair Julie Ducklow, Vice Chair Victoria Losinski, Secretary Miranda Thorson, Treasurer Julie Freeborn, Medical Director Dr. Chris Tashjian from MHealth Fairview, and Medical Advisor Dr. Keith Bratulich from Hudson Physicians. They are committed to carrying forward the founders’ mission to provide primary health care and preventative health education for the residents of Pierce and St. Croix Counties who have no health care alternative.

Under their visionary guidance, the Free Clinic has transformed healthcare access in Pierce and St. Croix Counties, providing essential medical care to those who are uninsured and have a household income of 250% or less of the Federal Poverty Level.

Dr. Bob Johnson and Mary Conroy Johnson leave a powerful legacy rooted in compassion, service, and community. In 2023 alone, the Free Clinic achieved remarkable milestones:

  • 821 patient visits
  • 2,544 prescriptions filled
  • $10,098 in pharmacy costs covered
  • Over $1 million in retail value of medications dispensed

These achievements have been possible thanks to the dedication of almost 200 volunteers and support from foundations, local organizations, churches, and individual donors. The Free Clinic remains a beacon of hope and care, and the new leadership team is ready to drive its mission forward.
