SERVICES WE PROVIDE

Primary Health Care

The Free Clinic of Pierce and St. Croix Counties is able to provide care for: 

• Acute conditions such as strep throat, ear infections, respiratory illnesses

• Chronic health conditions such as hypertension, high cholesterol, thyroid conditions and diabetes

Preventative Health Education

Prevention is worth a pound of cure! Efforts are made to educate patients about diseases, medications, and information related to healthy-living.

Medications

Assistance is provided to patients with prescribed medications that are available through the on-site dispensary or the Patient Assistance Program.

Assistance in Locating Other Community Resources

Visits include initial and six-month review intake interviews, which assure eligibility and are focused on health and non-health related patient needs (i.e. housing or food assistance). Referrals to other services and agencies are made during these interviews for the patient and their household members.

Services NOT Available:

The Free Clinic is an independent operation that does not duplicate the services of any other county agencies, or local programs or services.

The following services are not available:

• Birth control or pregnancy testing

• Dental services

• Immunizations

• Prescriptions for narcotics or other controlled substances

• Complex mental health problems

• Testing to treat for STD’s

• Treatment for STD’s
